The Norwegian company Move About has launched the first electric car-pool system in the world, in Gothenburg.Hareide Designmill is proud to present our design of the car-pool systems’ recharge stations. They are represented as both complete re-charge stations, with seat, roof and garbage sorting can, and as single, stand-alone re-charge units.

Hareide Designmill awarded “red-dot: best of the best, product design” for the second time!

Krabat and Hareide Designmill have launched an indoor wheelchair for children up to six years of age; Krabat Sheriff. The wheelchair is equipped with racing wheels with very low friction, saddle seat to maintain an active sitting position and prevent the child from sitting in a passive and slumped position.

Hareide Designmill is proud to announce that our work Startloop is included in the exhibition European Design Since 1985: Shaping the New Century at Indianapolis Museum of Modern Art, March 8-June 21.

Mester Grønn (employer), Hareide Designmill (designer) and Nitton93 (producer) have in collaboration launched a new and sophisticated shop concept.
All of Mester Grønns 82 stores will soon appear with this clean and inspiring design.  

In mid March Hareide Designmill and Gesab was assigned a studio project. The project includes styling, surfacing, full scale clay modeling and delivery of prototypes.

The assignment is well suited for our competence and full-scale prototype studio at Klippan, Gothenburg. and will continue until early January 2009.

We are proud to announce that Adax and Hareide Designmill have been awarded the Norwegian Excellence of Design Award for the Adax Neo series of electrical convectors. This is the fourteenth award we have been awarded from the Norwegian Design Council. 

Adax AS and Hareide Designmill have launched a new series of wall mounted electrical convectors that contain  several functional innovations. The electrical convectors are called Adax NEO and feature user benefits such as; a slim design, four colors to chose from and a very easy to use control panel. 

Beha and Hareide Designmill has made no compromise when it comes to quality, form and function of their new oven series. The new series of ovens is being launched at this very moment.

Bwell and Hareide Designmill presents the worlds first massage chair, developed for the European marked.
International massage chairs has been on the marked for a long time. In recent years they have also found their way to our Nordic latitudes. Many has discovered the value of a timeout in this kind of chair.

Hareide Designmill and Gesab Engineering opened a design center in Gothenburg. The design studio is located at Klippan by the Älvsorg bridge. The area is a lively and beautiful cultural centre in Gothenburg, full of interesting history and therefore a perfect location for a studio that combines cultures with modern industry.

Hareide Designmill proudly announces that two of their products has been included in the permanent exhibit in the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. The products AutoSock and Startloop is now a part of the permanent collection of design products.
Out of the millions of products being designed every year, only a few passes the bar at MoMA. Hareide Designmill is in the company of designers like Pilippe Stark, Arne Jacobsen, Dieter Rams and Pininfarina. Greatly influenced as we are by this distinction, we got help from Ole Rikard Høisæther at the University of Oslo and information officer Grete Kobro in Norwegian Design council, to put it in to words and in to perspective.

The boat that Hareide Designmill has developed together with NRK and the show Autofil, is to be auctioned away during this years TV fundraiser for Doctors without borders.

Porsgrund Bad and Hareide Designmill have developed a new series of showers with focus on modularity, functionality and simplicity. The greatest challenge was creating a product that can be produced effectively in existing production systems and at the same time contributes to improve both assembly and the showering experience itself.

Forma protective footwear combines a number of advantages for users with a unique new design. The shoes and boots provide complete protection for the entire foot. The so-called HFC system in the sole is a global first in providing complete shock absorption as well as comfort and support. The sole is flexible in several directions, the toe cap is made of aluminium (which is lighter than steel), and the red stripes on the sole provide a contemporary look and underline the new features. Aesthetically, the range is attractive, the materials have been combined harmoniously, and the boots resemble light walking boots. With this new product, the jury says, the market leader has increased its lead.

This new, unique vehicle provides extraordinary riding experiences. It’s not a car, it’s not a motorcycle. It is a Brudeli! The vehicle is best described as something in-between a motorcycle and a so-called all terrain four wheel ATV-quad. It’s leaning in corners like a motorcycle, at the same time having the stability of a sport quad.

Former manager for Scandinavian Design Group, Anne Gro Gulla, gets a position on the board of Hareide Designmill AS.

'Fire', a knife designed for the Norwegian knife producer Helle Fabrikker, is used in the Norwegian reality series '71° Nord' at TVNorge. The knife is part of the personal survival outfit for each of the participants in the reality show.

Vest Busscar launched the bus "Horisont" on Thursday January 20, 2005.
The bus is designed by Hareide Designmill. This is a medium to long range bus, where safety, comfort and design is highly prioritized.

Today at the Award for Design Excellence 2004 in Norway, HareideDesignmill received the " Award for Design Excellence" for two of their latest Designs. Since Hareide Designmill was founded in 2000 they have been awarded with as much as 10 awards in the category Industrial Design. Hareide Designmill is very proud to announce that they are the most winning industrial design studio in Norway through this period of existence.

In cooperation with Elko, we have designed a new series of, of among others; switches, dimmers, pushbuttons and AC/DC outlets.
With combining a square main shape with a curved centrepiece, the products have gained a unique identity that is both nice to touch and look at and easy to use.
Common for all the products is that the main colours; polar white, silver and black can be combined with blue, green, orange and silver frames.
In addition, one of the frames is dimly lit with a blue light that creates a very special ambiance.

"Ekornes has developed an "intelligent" mattress, where the larger springs have been replaced with a gel. Hareide Designmill participated in the design process, designing legs, quilt pattern and product labels."

Adventure and nature has been the inspiration for the new Sacco bean-bags, designed by Hareide Designmill and manufactured by Ekornes. Two new products, have been added to the the original Sacco family; Sacco Style and Sacco Funny. The new designs provide added comfort and a modern aesthetic.
